Whilst creating relationships such as 'Mate', 'Planar Align' or 'Axial Align' the user detects that the 'Activate Part' command is not available anymore in the appropriate command bars.
The user remembers this 'Activate Part' was available in the command bars of previous versions of Solid Edge, such as Solid Edge 2021.
This command has been intentionally removed starting with Solid Edge 2022.
The user asks for a way to activate components that are set to 'Inactive' without leaving the current creation of the relationship.
SolutionWhilst creating relationships, the 'Activate' command within the command ribbon can be used to activate components which are set to 'Inactive'.
After activating the components a right-click (RMB) cancels the 'Activate' command and brings the user back to the creation of the relationship.
Steps:
- Select e.g. the command 'Home > Assemble > Axial Align'.
- Select the command 'Home > Select > Activate'.
- Select the components that need to be activated.
- Execute a right-click (RMB) to cancel the 'Activate' command and to return to e.g. the 'Axial Align' command.
NotesThe attached axial_align_activate.7z contains a video that demonstrates the solution.
