I want to use ST10 Free 2D drafting as a viewer. However I see that there is the possibility to change dimensions and modify geometry, which is not what I want Viewer users to be able to do.
Solution
The workaround would be to restrict file permissions such that those needing to just view Solid Edge files cannot physically modify those files based on operating system security settings.
We now have another Free viewer for Solid Edge files in JT2GO . Whilst this does not allow for file modification, please be aware that this is not a Solid Edge product.

New with JT2Go Desktop Version 11.3:
o JT2Go can now display Native Solid Edge files
o JT2Go Acrobat Reader plugin update is available with this release
