When creating a mesh point with the project point method, the mesh point is
created on the nearest edge, instead of correctly on the face of selected. How
do you prevent the mesh point from jumping to an adjacent edge.
Solution
This occurs when the distance between the edge and the point is less than the
meshing snap tolerance. This tolerance is controlled via the menu -
preferences - meshing - Snap Tolerance setting. This value must be less than
the distance between the desired mesh point and the nearest edge.
