Summary

Details

Zoom command in Solid Edge ST10 is not working as it did in earlier versions of Solid Edge seeing strange double lines.

Solution

What you are seeing is a combination of the legacy zoom area selection rectangle and the region of the model that will eventually display in the current view once the zoom area has been accepted. The legacy zoom area box is represented by the faint "inner" lines within the overall outer box. The outer box encloses the parts of the model that will also be visible (or not cropped) by the current view borders. As the selection box increases in size, the excluded portion of the current view is dimmed somewhat as a visual aid to help clarify what will eventually get zoomed out of the view.

Please Note:

  • If you hold down the SHIFT key before selecting your first point, the box will match the legacy display.
  • If you hold down the CONTROL key, the first point will define the new center of the zoomed content.
