NX Creating a note with leaders from both sides

How can a Note be created that has a leader from both the left and right sides? 

The instructions below apply to NX 1980 and earlier.   Please use the link located under Notes and References to review the NX video demonstrating this procedure for NX 2007 and later.  

1. Select the 'Note' icon to start the command.
2. Expand the 'Leader' group in the dialog.
3. In the Leader group, expand the 'Style' and 'List' sub-groups.
4. Under the 'List' sub-group, turn off, 'Apply Style Settings to All'.
5. Highlight the 'Select Terminating Object' prompt and select the terminating object for the left leader.
6. Again, highlight the 'Select Terminating Object' prompt and select the terminating object for the right leader.   Note: Do not place the note yet.
7. Under the 'List' sub-group, highlight the leader "ID 1" and toggle the 'Stub Side' option to 'Left'.
8. Under the 'List' sub-group, highlight the leader "ID 2" and toggle the 'Stub Side' option to 'Right'.
9.  Select the 'Specify Origin' prompt and place the Note.
10. Close the Note dialog when complete.
