Is is possible to create a balloon (ID Symbol) without a stub on the leader?
Solution
When creating or editing ID balloons, a user may want to eliminate the stub. There are two ways to do this and they have differing attachment results.
Without Stub results:
o Access the Balloon dialog
o In the upper left corner of the dialog select the Option icon next to the
balloon dialog title
o Select "Balloon (More)" to insure that all dialog options are displayed
o Expand the Leader panel
o Set Type = "Without Stub"
- Notice at this point that the Stub Side option is removed in the Style panel
o Create your balloon
- The leader will now always be directed through the CENTER of the balloon regardless of the origin
Zero Length Stub:
o Access the Balloon dialog
o Set Type = "Plain"
o Stub Side = "Inferred" in Style panel
o Set Stub Length = 0.0
o Locating the ID balloon with these settings results in the leader attaching to either side of the balloon
