NX File Name Separator is not being modified from dash to dot when Save-As with Non-Master part.

You can configure the file name separator from dash to dot for new parts under Customer Defaults --> Teamcenter Integration --> General --> File New --> File Name Separator; however, when performing a Save-As operation with Non-Masters, the master was modified to dot but not the specification drawing. Why would that be?

Solution

You need to edit the preference in Teamcenter:
UGPART_saveas_pattern from:
 
      ${ItemID}-${RevisionID}-${UserText} 
To ${ItemID}.${RevisionID}.${UserText}
