For the scenario of using eMS database for multiple vehicle projects wherein system root volume grows faster leading to performance issues.
If the system root is on a single drive, high storage volume single drive leads to operational issues with high risk (such as performance of server, data backup etc).
So to eliminate this single drive based sysroot in Tecnomatix :
Is there any possibility of project based system root in Tecnomatix ?
Solution
Yes, it is possible to have different system root projectwise.
Process Designer/Simulate enables you to set a specific system root per project.
Make sure that an attribute called "SystemRoot" of type string is defined at the project node.
This attribute should contain the required system root path for this specific project.
Right click on Project node in Navigation Tree to open its properties. Edit the value of attribute called "SystemRoot".
Note : The system root is set when you select a project at application startup and when opening a project using the Open Project command.
If the SystemRoot attribute does not exist in the customization or it contains an empty string, the system root is not changed.
