Summary
Details
I want to clean up the old unused styles in the Materials.mtl database file.
I can add or copy new styles, but when I select one or more of the old styles, then the delete button is still greyed out.
How do I remove old unused styles in the materials.mtl. database file?
Solution
To clean or remove styles from the Materials.mtl database file you must open the Materials.mtl and then delete the unused styles.
To open the Materials.mtl file in Solid Edge, browse to the folder containing the Materials.mtl file e.g. C:\Program Files\Solid Edge ST10\Preferences\Materials and change the File Type filter to "All documents". Once the Materials.mtl is open in Solid Edge then you can use the Style Organizer command to remove the unused styles.
