How to control the names of the occurrences in the assembly structure displayed in a translated 3D PDF?
Solution
When translating a Solid Edge assembly to a 3D PDF file, the names of the occurrences in the PDF structure are determined based solely on the names of the occurrences as displayed in the Solid Edge Pathfinder.
You can control the default display of the Solid Edge occurrence names in the Solid Edge Options -> Helpers -> Document Name Formula.
You can override the default Solid Edge occurrence names by selecting the occurrence in Solid Edge and right-click -> Rename.
