In order to roll back a maintenance pack, would we need to have installed earlier maintenance packs, or do we simply have to have the earlier MP available ?
Solution
Maintenance packs, or MSI Product Updates, are all inclusive, e.g. fixes delivered in ST10 MP3 include all fixes delivered in MP1 and MP2. Therefore, when you move to ST10, you can install the latest MP available and get all fixes.
MSI Product Updates are uninstalled via the Control Panel (Uninstall a program –> View installed updates -> Uninstall). The current MSI Product Update will be the only Update listed and available for uninstallation. After the current Update is uninstalled, the previous Update will become the current Update. Example: If you have installed MP1, MP2, and MP3. Removing the current Update will revert you to MP2, and so on. If you only install MP3, removing the current Update will revert you back to the base release.
