After migrating to a new Sharepoint server the users were experiencing the following error message when opening files: http://server name/sites/……/filename.  "Insight was unable to query for your SharePoint Document Library property data. Your Administrator should run Initialize Insight Services on each SharePoint server."  The server name that is displayed in the error message is the old server.

Solution

Run an SQL script to find and replace the old server name with the new server name and this should fix the problem.
