Details

In a Sketch or in a Drawing when you use the Move command to move or copy a selection of 2D geometry, you can set the X or Y value by keying in "0" to lock a particular axis and move only in the other axis.  However if you did not select the correct axis and you want to switch to the other axis, normally you need to deselect and redo the selection.  Is there an easier way?

Solution

If for example, you have locked the X axis (X=0), and now you want to lock the Y axis (Y=0), you have to place the cursor to the X field value by using the TAB key, then hit the DELETE key to unlock this axis. Then tab to the Y field and key in "0" - the Y axis is now locked and the 2D geometry will move only in the X axis.
