Details
Object name remains the initial value, if the Item id is changed after initial assigning in File - New dialog of NX, the item ID is not copied to object name field.
Solution
In NX10 we redesign File New dialog to support dynamic population of UI based on customization [showing all the attributes on primary dialog, which are mandatory for creation - specified by create Operation descriptor] But not synching item name each time Item ID get changed was introduced by that project.
we don't want to override the user entered value of object_name and object name is same as previous item_id.
"So with NX10 onwards you have to clear the existing Name by selecting the entire line and then you have to click on Assign icon to get the updated Name according to new Item Id."
