NX X How to swap Package Name and Part Number of PCB components.

1. Open a PCB assembly in 'PCB Exchange' application.
2. PC Design Navigator -> Components (tab).
You will see columns like 'Package Name' and 'Part Number'.
How to swap the values of these columns.

Solution

1. Open the "pcbx_ug_model.ini" file from %UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGPCBXCHANGE and change the value as below.
NxReadPartNameNumSwap = Yes
NxWritePartNameNumSwap = Yes

2. Restart NX.
3. Open the PCB assembly in PCB Exchange application.
4. PC Design Navigator -> Components (tab).
Now the values in the 'Package Name' and 'Part Number' columns should be swapped.
