With new Hole Tables created in ST10 there is no
Notes and Tolerances button available. However pre-ST10 Hole Tables opened in ST10 have this
Notes and Tolerances button available. Why?
Solution
You may have observed that the properties dialog layout for ST10 Hole Tables is quite similar to the other tables such as Parts Lists. ST9 Hole Tables and ST10 Hole Tables have an entirely different architecture and it was decided to not convert ST9 Hole Tables to the new Hole Table format.
ST9 Hole Tables will remain as they are and can be modified using the old user interface. That is the reason why you see
Notes and Tolerances when a ST9 draft with a Hole Table is opened in ST10. If you create a new Hole Table in ST10, you will not see this button on the command bar.
This does not mean we have lost the functionality for specifying tolerances for holes in Hole Tables. Whatever functionality was available in ST9 Hole Tables on the
Notes and Tolerances dialog, like re-labeling of holes, specifying notes and tolerances, etc. is still available in ST10 but it is available in a different way.
For example, for specifying a prefix or a suffix you may edit the property text of a particular column on the
Columns tab.
