Does Siemens have certification documents on these license dongles / hardware keys for Secure work?
Are there such certification documents that state the dongle cannot be written to or that it is a device approved for use in secure areas. The dongle or hardware key configuration will be deployed inside a secure room, hopefully such a document exists at Siemens/GTAC.

The letter is to confirm that the USB dongle provided by Siemens PLM Software for licensing some of its products is a read-only device and cannot be written to by Siemens PLM software or by any other software installed on the computer system which contains the dongle.
The USB dongle provided by Siemens PLM Software contains a serial number used as an identifier to node lock the software so it will only be enabled on the computer system containing the registered dongle. The Siemens PLM software will read the serial number and confirm it matches the license file provided to the customer. This serial number is encoded into the dongle when it is manufactured by Safe-Net and cannot be changed.
I can assure you that the USB dongle provided by Siemens PLM cannot be used as a mechanism to remove any data from the computer system on which it is installed.
