NX X Soft Radius Change at End option of [Edge Blend].

In [Edge Blend] command there is a "Soft Radius Change at End option" in Variable Radius group.
What does it mean?

Solution

"Soft" in this case means the rate of change in the variable radius approaches zero at the end of the edge chain.  Thus, there is an additional constraint at end of the chain and the radius should approach a constant radius right at the ends of the chain.
