Can you set a 'released' document to 'obsolete' using built-in data management?

Solution

Using Solid Edge ST10 built-in data management you now have the ability to change the status of a 'released' document to 'obsolete'.

First in Solid Edge Options, under Manage, there is an entry for Document Controller. This must be setup with a Windows user account.


You also have the option to move 'released' documents to an 'obsolete' folder if you set a file location on the Life Cycle tab. If left blank, the files are not moved but the status still changes.


Now using Design Manager, you can change the status of a 'released' document to 'obsolete'.
