You have sketch dimensions on a drawing sheet that were inherited from a master model component. You select a dimension to change the Tolerance Type to "Basic" for example, but are unable to do so - the edit fails with "The first object associativity is invalid".
Solution
NX needs to have the data for the dimensions fully loaded in memory in order to be able to edit them in this manner. To accomplish this, you should load the component fully and specify "Entire Part" reference set temporarily. Now edit the dimension settings as desired, and then return the reference set back to the previous setting.
