The user wishes to see a vector representation of the element X axis.
Solution
Assuming no material orientations have been defined, the elemental x axis of shell elements or any of the solid element axes can be displayed using the "Element Material Orientation" command in "Finite Element Model Checking". Select the desired elements, select output vector options, and select the "Display Element Material Orientation" box. If material orientations has been set, it is necessary to be reset them
in order to see element coordinate system orientations.
