Details

A customer produces parts with multiple lengths and diameters. Accordingly
they set the dimensions on their drawing to ‘Show names -’ –this shows all the
characters they have assigned to the variables (A, B, C etc.). Then they have a
table below showing all the values these variables can be. They want to show
the outer diameter as ‘D’ and the inner diameter as ‘d’ – unfortunately they
are not allowed to do this for the second value as Solid Edge does not account
for upper and lowercase and considers the variable to already be used. Is there
a way to do this?

Solution

No, this is not possible. Variable names are case insensitive. Therefore you
cannot have two variables with names 'D' and 'd'.
