How to import the part back into Teamcenter using the same item type as it was exported?
Solution
When importing parts back into Teamcenter, select the "Use Type from Part file" option; this will allow the item type to import based on the item type of the part file.
Note 1: The toggle "Use Type from Part file" check box must be toggled on before selecting parts from OS to import.
Note 2: This functionality is only supported for parts created in NX10 or later.
