How do you show a Center of Mass symbol in draft?

Solution

You can show the Center of Mass block (symbol) in a draft sheet using the following steps:

Right mouse click on the view and go to Properties > Display > Parts List Options > List All. Under the assembly in the Parts List tree will be a Center of Mass displayed. Select it, then check the Show box > Apply > Ok. Update the view and the Center of Mass will be displayed as a small dot in the view.

Use the 'Center of Mass and Coordinate System Block' to show a symbol in the draft.

Go to Solid Edge Options > Annotation > Select block for 'Center of Mass' > select 'Apply' > Select OK > Update drawing view.

Solid Edge provides the following default block, COM, to display when either the center of mass or the coordinate system is shown in a drawing view. It is included in the draft templates. You can create your own blocks with custom graphics.
