How do you add a Blank size of sheet metal part in Draft as Property Text? This is needed for raw material procurement.



Solution

Users can add a blank size in Callout-Annotation as Exposed variables in Draft.


Steps: 
1. Open Sheet metal file which has flat pattern. 
2. Open Variables table 
3. Select the 'Flat_Pattern_Model_CutsizeX' and 'Flat_Pattern_Model_CutsizeY' > Check select for Expose 
4. Close the Variables Table 
5. Save the sheet metal part file 
6. Open the draft file 
7. Go to Annotations > Select Callout 
8. Select Property Text > Dropdown and select "From graphic connection" 
9. Select and copy both Exposed Variable Property text to Callout text 
- 'Flat_Pattern_Model_CutsizeX (Exposed Variable)' 
- 'Flat_Pattern_Model_CutsizeY (Exposed Variable)' 
  
Callout text: %{Flat_Pattern_Model_CutSizeX/EV|G} X %{Flat_Pattern_Model_CutSizeY/EV|G} 
  
10. Select Ok > and place callout selecting any age of flat pattern view in Draft.
