When downloading the "getcid" tool for Mac OS, it will be set to be opened with TextEdit.app and it's seen as a document, not as an executable.
Solution
To make this file an executable :
- Open a Terminal window
- Type "chmod +x " (without brackets and make sure there's a space after "+x")
- Drag the downloaded "getcid" file from the Finder and drop it in a Terminal window
- Press Enter
Now double-click on "getcid", it will be properly executed.
