When using the Import Assembly into Teamcenter dialog, you have the option to
run validation. When the "Validation Rule Set File Browse Option" is set to
Teamcenter and selecting the Browse button, what type of dataset is it looking
for?
Solution
A Rule sets file can be stored in Native NX as *.vrx files, and in
teamcenter as "ValidationRuleSet" datasets. When you select the Browse
button with the "Validation Rule Set File Browse Option" set to Teamcenter,
expand the Item that contains the dataset and select the Validation Rule Set
dataset.
You can test by creating a new item in Teamcenter, then add the
"ValidationRuleSet" Dataset under the Item Revision, and from the Named
Reference import the example VRX file "validation_rule_example.vrx" that
is located in NX11 in the following path:
C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX 11.0\DESIGN_TOOLS\checkmate\tools\ruleset_editor
Start NX and go through steps to Import an assembly into teamcenter and you
will then see the "ValidationRuleSet" dataset when you browse.
