In this scenario a user installs Solid Edge with the ISO Metric Templates.
They then make some modifications in their templates and copy them onto a
Server, so that all users work with the same templates by setting the path for
them to the Server. Following that the local ISO Metric templates have been
deleted.
Now when creating new gears with Engineering Reference, the customer finds that
the used template is not the default template from the Server.
Solution
The reason for this is that Engineering Reference uses special templates.
They are located in the Program -> Solid Edge xxxx -> Engineering Reference ->
Par Directory and are specific to every type of part that will be created.
One can currently find 36 different Part templates.
Via API the geometry will be "added" to that specific template, and after
creation the original template path will be passed back to the system.
This is why the template looks different to the original template modified
by the customer on the Server.
