Solid Edge Split Face command ignores multiple selection using fence select

Using "Split Face", and then selecting multiple sketch elements using fence 
select will only highlight one element for splitting and ignore all others. 
No error message or other indication of what went wrong is shown.

Solution

Check whether the base coordinate-system is shown, which will then also be 
selected by the fence select and causes the "Split Face" to fail.


Try the following workarounds:


1. Disable or hide all elements which should not be used for splitting. 
2. Alternatively select every sketch element individually. 
3. Otherwise deselect the base-coordinate system after doing the fence select.
