NX X Cannot Select a Feature Edge Point In NX CMM Inspection

NX CMM Inspection does not allow an edge to be selected when using Features -> MB3 -> Insert -> Edge Point. What could be preventing this?

Solution

If the Point on Curve option is disabled on the Selection Bar then it will not be possible to pick an edge on the model. The Point on Curve option can be see in the picture below. The menu seen below is displayed when Mouse Button Three is pressed in the graphics window.



The Point on Curve option can also be enabled on the Selection Bar as seen below.
