---------------
A customer uses special line thicknesses such as 0.94; 0.95; 0.96 to
differentiate different kinds of line. All of these are exported with the
thickness 0.9 to the DXF file.
Why is this the case?
Solution
The DXF format is not a real Standard Exchange Format. It has been defined by
Autodesk and is based on the AutoCAD internal Data Format.
AutoCAD supports only the following predefined line thicknesses:
0.00
0.05
0.09
0.13
0.15
0.20
0.25
0.30
0.35
0.40
0,50
0.53
0.60
0.70
0.80
0.90
1.00
1.06
1.20
1.40
1.58
2.00
2.11
Consequently AutoCAD is not able to define the line thicknesses 0.94, 0.95 and
0.96. To avoid import errors Solid Edge exports only the line thicknesses which
are supported by AutoCAD and modifies Solid Edge line thicknesses accordingly.
