When importing or migrating SolidWorks drawings into Solid Edge, the drawings are not linked to the migrated SolidWorks model files.
Solution
There are two caveats that must be considered when migrating SolidWorks drawings that you want linked to the SolidWorks models:
The units of the SolidWorks file must match the units of the Solid Edge template file.
The link between the original SolidWorks drawing file and model file must exist. The SolidWorks drawing cannot be saved as a "Detached Drawing".
If either of these points is not true, then the migrated SolidWorks drawing will *not* be linked to the migrated SolidWorks model.
