The NX Licensing Tool will set the UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE value in the registry and will override the environment variable value defined by UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE.
Solution
To honor the UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE environment variable, use the Licensing Tool
to remove any defined license bundle(s):
- Start button
- Select 'All apps'
- Select 'Siemens NX'
- Select 'NX Licensing Tools'
- Select 'Licensing Tool'
- On the Licensing Tool window, select 'Bundle Settings'
Move the license bundle(s) from 'Applied Bundles:' to 'Available Bundles:'.
- Select 'Apply' button and close the Licensing tool GUI.
This action will clear the registry the UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE values and you will now be able to use the defined value of the UGS_LICENSE_BUNDLE environment variable.
