When I try to delete a Weld from the Operation, nothing happens. There are no errors, and the Weld remains in place. In order to delete the Weld, I have to delete the parent Operation.
Solution
This is not a mistake or a bug. It is working as designed.
A work around is to move the weld(s) to another Operation. Then delete that Operation. You could even name the Operation "Delete".
