Which Synchronous Modeling command can be used to increase the diameter of the
chamfered face of a boss?

Solution

In this case the chamfer extends from the top of the boss to the floor. Therefore, as no cylindrical faces can be selected the diameter of the boss cannot be increased. The next obvious choice is to use Move Face or Pull Face, however, these simply move the entire boss.

The solution is to use Offset Region and select the chamfered face. However, as the distance vector is normal to the chamfered face you will have to use trigonometry to calculate the equivalent of entering an increase in diameter (e.g. offset=(dia_increase/2)*cos(p10), where p10 is the angle of the chamfer from the top face).
