User wants to create several materials and would like to access these materials
into managed mode material library across site.
Solution
o Tools - Materials - Manage Materials - Create the required materials.
o Tools - Materials - Manage Library Materials - Export Material to Library
o Select the required materials from the local Materials section - Select
Single MatML file - Enter the path to the local disk - Select OK to export the
materials in the xml format.
o File - Utilities - Customer Defaults - Gateway - Materials/Mass - Locations -
Enable Site MatML Library - Enter the complete path to the xml file created in
the 3rd step above in the windows path section.
o Restart NX
o Tools - Materials - Manage Materials - Library Materials - Under Libraries
section ensure the path for the site MatML library is set to the xml file
created in step 3.
o Ensure Site MatML Library is ON, the materials are added to the list of
materials.
Setting the path to the xml file kept in Mapped Network drive, the same list of
materials can be accessed across site.
