NX X Get "This is a reserved attribute title" adding an attribute to NX

When running NX in Teamcenter environment and creating a new attribute, (an attribute that is currently NOT mapped to TC)
    File --> Properties, Attributes tab
Define a new attribute
    Title/Alias: User Data 1
    Data Type: String
    Value: test
And then press the "Add New Attribute" button, you get the message:
"This is a reserved attribute title"

And the new attribute is not possible to store. Why is this not working?

Solution

The reason for the message "This is a reserved attribute title" to occur when you try to create a new attribute is that it already exists as a Teamcenter property with a display name which is the same as the name of the attribute you are trying to create.
(As of NX10, running in Teamcenter Environment, NX show TC property display name as attribute name in NX).


You need to choose another name for your new attribute, or change the display name of the existing TC property causing the clash.
