Details

While it is obvious how to create a custom Component Group to filter by specific attributes, how do you setup a Component Group to search for components that do not have the attribute set or its value has not been entered?

Solution

Component Groups has the option "~exists" for filtering Component Groups using Attributes.

The following Component Group definition initially selects all loaded components and then excludes all components that have the part attribute TEST defined:

[ - ] New Component Group
      [ - ] Match any of...
                  Loaded Components
      [ - ] Exclude...
                  TEST ~exists
