Having created a new pax file, NX reads the pax file but reports: "Cannot find the template specialization with the given name."
Solution
In this case the default item type had been set in Teamcenter and the value entered in the pax file for <ItemType> did not conform.
Select "File --> Help --> Log File" and once the Information Window displays select "Edit --> Find" and enter "TC_default_part_type". This will return the Item Type defined in NX for the default part type in NX.
Edit the pax file that had just been created/modified and enter that value that was set for TC_default_part_type between the <ItemType> tags.
For example:
<ItemType>A2_GTAC_Item</ItemType>
Restart NX and the error should no longer be raised.
