NX X Adding A Dimension To An Existing Baseline Dimension Set

Having modified a part file, baseline dimensions on the drawing need to be edited to insert dimensions. How is this accomplished?

Solution

1. Open the Linear Dimension dialog and set the Dimension Set Method to Baseline. 
2. Select "Select Object" directly underneath the Method pulldown. 
3. Select the existing baseline dimension. 
4. At the top of the dialog select "Select Second Object" and select the new object to dimension to.
   
   

The new dimension will be inserted in the correct position. Select Close on the dialog.
