NX Printer Groups Error: Directory is not accessible

Customer upgraded multiple hosts to NX/1847 Series.


Customer hosts could all plot without issues until single user on single host 
plot operations failed without warning.


When single user on single host attempts to plot the following error is 
raised:


 Printer Groups Error


 Directory is not accessible because of the following error:


 Plotting directory is not writable.

Solution

 ANALYSIS:


Inspection of users .syslog indicates the following:


UGII_SDI_OUTPUT_DIR = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp


Users ...\Temp directory was permanently locked by external mechanism, 
(probably by 3rd party product which shares directory structure) and therefore 
was rendered not writable by SDI plot subsystem during attempted creation of 
intermediate plot files.


SOLUTION:


Need to delete C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp and all contents.


(C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp will automatically be recreated by 
Windows).


Additional Suggestions:


Run Windows File system cleanup utility after directory deletion.


Reboot host.
