When you insert a User Defined Feature (UDF) in NX the dialog has an option to choose which layer the UDF is placed on. The options are Original Layer, Work Layer or Specified Layer. Is there a way to predefine that option?
Solution
You can set the following environment variable to control which layer the UDF's are placed on:
UGII_UDF_LAYER_ORIGINAL=1
If set to 1, the Original Layer is used. If unset, the Work Layer is used. There is no option to default the pull down to Specified Layer.
