NX X Convert Tool Library will not Process a Library created in NX10

Open NX11 and run Convert Tool Library by selecting the tool_database.dat from an NX10 english or metric library. The error message seen below is reported. What can be done to work-around this issue?

Solution

This issue is caused by tab characters in a few #CLASS records in the NX10 english and metric versions of tool_database.dat. These characters can be manually deleted out of the two files allowing the upgrade to succeed. The records to modify are the #CLASS STD_LASER and #CLASS DEPOSITION_LASER records in the english version and #CLASS DEPOSITION_LASER in the metric version.
