In NX9, the default Cue/Status Line Position is placed at the bottom.
How can the Cue/Status Line Position be placed at the top by default?
Solution
The Cue/Status Line Position can only be changed by customizing the toolbar
layout or in the registry.
Customizing the Toolbar Layout:
1. Select 'Tools-->Customize'.
2. Select the 'Layout' tab.
3. Toggle 'Top' for the 'Cue/Status Line Position'.
4. Close the Customize dialog.
5. Select 'Preferences-->User Interface'.
6. Select the 'Layout' tab.
7. Toggle ON 'Save Layout at Exit'.
8. OK the User Interface Preferences dialog.
9. Exit NX to save this layout.
10. Re-start NX.
11. Select 'Preferences-->User Interface'.
12. Select the 'Layout' tab.
13. Toggle OFF 'Save Layout at Exit', so that another setting
does not accidentally overwrite the current layout.
14. OK the User Interface Preferences dialog.
The Cue/Status Line Position is saved to the registry in the following
location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Unigraphics
NX\9.0\Layout\UI_Preferences\Cue
If the value of 'Cue' is "0", the position will be set to 'Top'.
If the value of 'Cue' is "1", the position will be set to 'Bottom'.
