If you need to emboss or engrave text of different fonts on a solid model which has contour faces, below are the steps you can try:
Solution
1) Creating text using the font you want using Insert --> Curve --> Text On
Curve, (the curve could be sketch curve). Under settings, toggle on Join
Curves.
2) Project the text onto the contour surface of the solid model using
Insert --> Curve from Curves --> Project using Along Face Normal direction.
3) Using Divide Face function to divide the existing contour face and the
curves from the text as dividing objects. You also want Normal to Face as
Projection Direction. Insert --> Curve from Curves --> Project
(If you have problem to project, you could change the tolerance to a tighter
value).
4) Extrude individual letters using Insert --> Design Feature --> Extrude -->
Set selection intent to Face Edges to select the Divide Face edges , then you
can either unite or subtract to the main solid to create engraving or emboss.
