NX X Could not add a JT file on the drawing from within a NX assembly

Using JT files (from Teamcenter) in our NX assemblies, views correctly in MODEL space.  However, we are unable to create drawings from assembly models that contain JT files.  The JT file will not create geometry for the drawing to be dimensioned.

Solution

 This .jt data could be created with JT-Breps instead of XT-Breps.  By default, NX will load exact data of a .jt file if the data is XT-Breps. 


You can get the exact data from a JT-Brep file by selecting:
File --> Properties --> JT File tab --> Extract Exact Data.





Note:
You can change this default by selecting:
File --> Utilities --> Customer Defaults --> General --> JT Files -->  Import Content



Initially Extract Exact Data means: 
All JT Files == JT-B-reps and XT-B-reps 
All JT files Except Files with JT B-rep == data only for XT-B-reps 
None == no exact data is extracted on opening the .jt file


Note: if the .jt file was produced with no B-rep, you will not be able to extract any exact data, it does not exist in the .jt file.
