NX X Getting Sketches to Edit in Task Environment when Double-clicking

When double clicking on a sketch to edit, NX always enters the Direct Sketch environment in NX1855.

Solution

NX8 introduced Direct Sketching. The default behavior for editing sketches is to use the Direct Sketch environment.  Users can change this behavior using either of the methods below:


1. Set the preference for the current session of NX.   'Preferences --> Modeling --> Edit' and set 'Edit Sketch Action'  to 'Task Environment'.



2. Set the preference for any session of NX.   'File --> Utilities --> Customer Defaults --> Modeling --> General --> Edit' and set 'Edit Sketch Action' to 'Task Environment'
