Users might experience problems selecting objects when working with an NX part file that contains geometry at extreme distances from the origin such as a large plant layout at full scale.
Solution
The reason for this behavior is because the value for the customer default "Maximum Size for an Objects Bounding Box" is not large enough to include objects at the extremes of the part. To correct the problem make the following changes to the customer defaults:
Select File --> Utilities --> Customer Defaults
Gateway --> Visualization --> View/Screen tab --> "Maximum Size for an Objects Bounding Box"
set to 39,370 in English units system
set to 1,000,000 in Metric units system
Save the defaults and restart NX and all objects should now be selectable.
