After adding a PTS template part to a file and using 'Edit Reusable Component' to make the necessary modifications, performing the same operation in a different file does not show the correct template in the Template Explorer dialog.
Solution
This can be caused when copying a PTS template to another folder and modifying the description, but not modifying the file name.
The PTS files maintain an internal '
Version Number'. If the Version Number is identical, the above behavior will occur.
The solution is to open the newest PTS template file in PTS Author, click on the top entry in the interface, and change the
Version Number from 0 to
1.
This will allow NX to determine that the files, even though they have the same name, are actually different files. This resolves the issue.
