Formerly known as the Load Balancer Server, the Capital Server Manager is a licensed server that enables you to distribute client processes and load to multiple Capital Managers.
The Capital Server Manager is part of Capital Enterprise Manager (CEM). This product is intended for large system deployments where customers desire scale and balancing of the needs of larger numbers of concurrent users - around 50 or more. CEM is also suited for installations where there are high availability requirements - which often goes along IT departments required to manage multi-site deployments with synchronization needs.
Running a Capital Server Manager enables you to:
Scale to a large number of users
Reduce administration burden for IT staff
Increase system reliability and performance
When you start a Capital client application, it contacts the Capital Server Manager automatically. The server manager identifies which Capital Manager the client application uses based on the current loads.
You can monitor the load and statistics for each Capital Manager. When doing this, you connect to the server manager via a web browser to view data such as current memory usage, maximum memory usage, and user connections.
For more information like how to configure the server manager please consult your version's Capital Enterprise Manager User Guide.
